El Centro is downtown Puerto Vallarta itself: the Malecón and its sculptures, the Parroquia de Guadalupe with its crown, the Plaza de Armas, the galleries, the bars and the cobblestone streets that climb from the sea. Dense, mixed-use and entirely pedestrian, it is the smallest community in the area by listings because so much of it is commercial; what comes up is condos above the streets and the riverfront buildings by the Cuale.
Buyers want to live on foot in the middle of everything and accept the noise that comes with it. Parking is close to nonexistent; a deeded space is a real asset. Hospital CMQ's downtown centre is minutes away.
