Tehuamixtle, Tehua, is a one-street oyster village of about 118 people on Bahía Tehuamixtle, the calmest cove on the outer Pacific coast of Cabo Corrientes, twenty-five kilometres from El Tuito on a road that is partly dirt with paving under way; Playita del Amor is on the south side and the Los Morros dive rocks half an hour north by boat. No gated developments or condos, just village houses and lots. The road and the lack of services are the daily reality, the beaches have no lifeguards, and parcels need the notary's agrarian check.
