Ipala is a pueblo on the outer Pacific coast of Cabo Corrientes south of El Tuito, the eighth most populated locality in the municipality, with the six-kilometre Playa del Amor as its beach and oceanfront lots such as Lote Vista Hermosa on the sand; Mayto and Tehuamixtle are the neighbouring villages. There are no gated developments, condo towers or branded residences on this coast; the listings are lots and the odd cabin. The beaches are open swell with no lifeguards, the road in is partly dirt, and parcels need the notary's agrarian check before any deposit.
